First SSD choosing

Is there anything at all I should keep in mind when choosing an SSD? Like are there many differences in different brand/model SSD's and that stuff?

I got my first SSD a while ago and it's the Samsung 840 EVO SSD. It is widely recommended and performs amazing. For the price, it performs better than any other branded SSD because of RAPID MODE. I was planning to go for 0.5TB, so I guess I'll go for 850 EVO 500GB one... Although, are there any differences between manufacturers? Because I'm a jew and see that 0.5TB SSDs begin at like 30€ less than the model I mentioned.

The 850 EVO is a brand new released SSD. I would be going for the 840 EVO because it is just as fast, and has dropped a lot in price. You could also go with a Crucial MX100 SSD. It's a little bit faster at reading, but slower at writing, but is also cheaper, and still a good solid state drive.
