Question First time build: CPU to PSU cable doesn't match ?

First time building, everything was going fine till i got to the cpu/psu the cord labled cpu does not match any slots on the psu so i cannot connect it far as i can tell. What do i do from here? Any help appreciated.

Sorry if this was the wrong spot to post... wasnt sure what technically it falls under.

Mobo b650 aorus elite ax
Cpu 7800x3d
Psu corsair rm1000e modular

Edit: Got it working now, plug does fit and works as intended just threw me off that the cord and socket were not a 100% match. No issues yet os installed temps look where they are supposed to be~

Not really. In the video he just connects it cpu labled side into the mobo however mine doesnt match up like thier does. The one side that is labled cpu connects to the mobo the other end to the psu? The end that says cpu on it does not match the shape of the holes on my mobo. The side not labled cpu fits in that spot, however then the otherside does not fit anywhere in the psu.

Are those original cables that came with brand new PSU ?
2x4pin side goes to MB x8pin and other side of that cable should connect to PSU- one of PCIe/CPU 8 pin connectors.

Yup all new stuff. The cpu labled side doesnt match but couuuld be put in but i assume thats unsafe so i haven't. The x8 is missing 2 square shaped slots. But does "fit"

That should be ok but you could check the MB side, With PSU on and running check voltages on the connector's MB side. one row of 8pin should give +12v and other row minus/ground for them.

Noted. I still have a few things to finish up before i hit the on button but if it works out ill update here

Yup seems all good! Have got the os on now updating bios and other stuff atm. Havent gamed on it yet but temps idle look fine~
