so i hav a budget of £1200 (give or take) and this is a build i came up with....i didnt wanna sacrifice alot on performance so i had to reduce alot of money on the psu, hdd, ssd and ram (i hope they're all reliable tho)...the build includes Intel's new Z97 chipset (i would've added the new i5 4690 as well if it were a 'K')...n the choice of an Nvidia 780 instead of the R9 290 is bcuz the phsyx effects....mesmerising!...i've heard the gtx 880 is also bout to come out (when?)....dunno if its worth waiting for it or not (it'll probably be more expensive than the current 780 anyways...?)

This is probably the best you can get for 1301 quids.

hmm okay thanks guys for the quick reply...i think i'll go with the Seasonic X750 modular psu (heard its the best thing u can get) and the Samsung 840 evo 120gb ssd....but that makes me a wee bit overbudget (bout £90 to be exact)...so i was wondering if i should get the Gtx 770 vs the gtx 780...i mean theres like £120 difference between them n from gpuboss..it seems it only makes 10-12 fps difference max so i mean the extra £120 for 10 more fps isnt really worth it ryt?....em not gonna be doing any dual monitor setups for a long time so the vram's not an issue either...or maybe i should just wait for the Gtx 870 or 880 to come out (maybe they'll offer me better price😛erformance ratio?)

The 290X will give the same performance as a 780ti yet it costs less. believe my build will be best for your needs as it it will be the cheapest

Eh, some people will be Nvidia junkies for life. But I don't care. It is was the OP thinks is the best for him.

em not an nvidia junkie nor an AMD fanboy...i chose the R9 290 first bcuz its cheaper n gives better frames then the gtx 780...but u noe wht?...with a high end build, aside the build itself its all the eyecandy that counts....n whem em playing something like borderlands n there stuff flying everywhere in 1080p...man i hope i'll luv my choice! :) ...anyways thnks for helping

Well the perform equally so there is no difference between the two cads. I don't know why you would spend $100 more for something that'll get you the same FPS as a 290. But it is al your choice.
