OP get a GPU after one month by then you will get better information on NVIDIA 1000 series support to MAC. If 1000 series is not supported then you can go for 900series like Hellfire said. You can probably get GTX970 for that price.

Can't have best of both worlds hehe. I guess Hackintosh would be my least priority right now, I still have my macbook pro and it'll probably still have at least 2-3 in it.

I wouldn't mind going back to Windows right now. If they ever release drivers to support the newer GPUs, then I'll try to install OS X.

It will perform great with 2 monitor setup and you can upgrade OS to OSX whenever you want. Above all the components are supported by OSX except for the cooler. But probably it wont be causing any trouble. If it does spend extra $50 and get Corsair H60. I went with Crucial MX300 because outside of Samsung lineup that is the only SSD which wouldn't cause pain while installing OSX. Not all Crucial SSDs are compatible only the MX300 series. Be careful while buying it.
