First-time Builder, looking for advice

Hey guys, long time gamer, decided to build my next pc. I've done a fair amount of research on the parts I'm looking at, but want to make sure I'm not over-extending. My primary concerns are things like whether the mobo can handle the RAM I want to use, whether the cpu cooler I chose is overkill/necessary, or anything else you guys with more experience see that could be done better. While I know that many of my selected components are, right now, a bit of overkill for most gaming, I want to future proof this machine as much as possible, and still stay within the 2k budget range. Plus have it capable of further expansion on down the road, such as additional ram or crossfire. All of that said, here are the parts I have selected so far:

Please critique/nit-pick away. Again, this is my first crack at building from the ground up (done lots of repairs/additions), so all advice is welcome. Thanks guys.

1000w is way overkill. 800w is the most I would get for this build.

I would also not get an h100i. I would rather get an air cooler that cools the same, makes less noise, and costs less.

GEt 8gb RAM or at least normal priced 16gb. Honestly though, just get 8gb.

Get a 120gb SSd and a 1tb HDD.

I went with the 1000W bc I wanted to be sure I had enough room to not only do a little OC, but to add another GPU perhaps in a year or so. I guess it may still be too much?

I chose the RAM I did because honestly, I don't know enough about RAM to know whether a similarly spec'd Kingston pair would perform just as well as this Corsair. If it will, great, sounds good to me.

Do you have a particular fan or manufacturer you would recommend over the H100i? It seems pretty standard and well-received.

Thanks for the reply :)

The Noctua NH-D14, Phanteks PH-TC14PE_BK, and Zalman CNPS9900MAX will all perform the same or better than the H100i.

Pretty much all RAM is the same. Always just get the cheapest set you can that is 1.5v CAS9.

For the PSU, if you truly do actually PLAN to get another 290x within a year, get it. If it is just an idea or whatever don't bother. Most all people who claim to want to add another card never do or wait 3 years when you need to replace the PSU anyway and the PSU goes to waste. Get a 750w unit if this is the case.

Still looking around, but:

Is ram with a CAS of 9 and a lower mhz (1600) more desirable than a CAS 11 at 2133?
