The motherboard I'm going to buy has no video output. That's fine because I'm getting a graphics card with and HDMI socket. I want to know if the HDMI connection will work for the speakers in my monitor even though it's going through the graphics card, or will I need to find another way to connect them.

Usually if you have HDMI going into a HDMI connection on a TV/monitor with speakers itll play sound.
