First time building a computer.

Hello, I'm trying to build a computer that is mainly for gaming, but I have never built one before.
I will take any advice and tips you guys will give me!
I am building it this week.
I'm hoping for a price range around $950.
I don't need speakers, keyboard or a mouse.
I've been using newegg.com to find everything.
Overclocking? No.

Biostar ta870 u3+ with phenom ii x6 1100t I will probably be upgrading my mono soon to the am3+ socket board just to future proof it a little the preset overclock for my mono presently though only got up to 3.7 ghz I believe may be a little off

Oh sorry ignore all previous posts then. I presumed you were on about the i5-2500k

Change your mobo to MSI P67A GD55 AND graphics card to msi 560ti hawk, for cpu cooler i would recommend you cm hyper 212 plus
