Question First time overclocking my PC

Hello guys,

I was wondering if it was a good idea to overclock my CPU & GPU to increase the performance of my PC when playing games.

After wanting to buy & play Tom Clancy's The Division 2 i read you need a 11GB GPU to play at 60 FPS on 4K.

Now i was looking to buy another GPU but the prices are literally through the roof with the whole bitcoin mining thing happening.

My question was if i overclocked my CPU & GPU would it help involving the performance of my PC & GPU so it could handle 4K on Tom Clancy's The Division 2 ?

If you play a game on settings that require higher memory usage than you have available, the game just probably wont load, itll crash, or if it does load you wont be able to do anything else but play that game (no background tasks requiring memory at all). Overclocking the memory on your GPU will help but it is DEFINITELY no substitute for physical memory.
