Hi, these are the parts I have in my system

FX 6300 Black edition 6 core

Corsair H60 Water cooler

Gigabyte GA-970A-D3P

I've just decided to start overclocking and was wondering what to change in my bios for this particular motherboard, and how far to overlock my setting to. Thanks :)

Hi and welcome to the overclocking sector!

firstly, the board you have is decent for a 970 chipset overclock, but that does not change the fact that is is still classified as a poor overclocking board. I would keep it to a max of 4.3/4.4GHz, nothing over as you may make the CPU unstable or fry a vrm if unlucky. Increase the voltage by a bit, but not a lot to be set. You OC through BIOS, which is the most effective way which you'll have to refer to your motherboard manual as all BIOS's are different, that's to find the OC section. Your cooler will be fine if you go to 4.3/4.4GHz, but that would be the max you should go.
