First time overclocking. Tips?

Hi guys, I'm trying to overclock for the first time. My build for everything is:
ryzen 1600
MSI b350 Tomahawk
Corsair h115i
G. Skill aegis 2400mhz

Now, it's my first time overclocking and I tried overclocking within the BIOS but I couldn't figure it out from there. I have MSI command center and I don't know if I can overclock from there or not. If I can, great! How do I do that? If I can't, great! How do I do it from the BIOS?

You mean type the following.
bcdedit /set useplatformclock true

Hit return, wait for the response. Then restart your PC.

Says bcedit is not recognized as an internal or external command

Did you use bcdedit or bcedit? If there is path issues you may need change: cd c:\windows\System32

Tried both, still didn't take. Also using c:\windows\system32 in the command prompt

Did you try the command after changing the path?
bcdedit /set useplatformclock true

Did it say unknown command?

Use file explorer and see if bcdedit is in the folder c:\windows\system32

Then it should work. Make sure you start cmd as admin and you change directory. Type dir to make sure your in c:\windows\system32 before trying bcdedit.

Can you post pics or find pics or videos of how I should run the bcdedit as admin? Im lost when it comes to that.

Yes here is an image. To get the path tho you need to type cd\ c:\windows\system32 or do it in 2 steps like the second image. Dont use those last 2 commands in the second image as they are for otherthings.

So i tried OC and somehow ended up underclocking my CPU to 2.8mhz ilin my BIOS. How do i fix this to being back at 3.2 or even 3.6?

Also, HPET is still being a butt to me and not letting allowing me access to HPET as admin.

Could be cool'n'quiet are throttling back your clocks. Also turn off any boost when overclocking.
