Hi everyone.
I would like to build myself a gaming PC that I can also use for streaming and video editing. I've never built a PC on my own before, so I have no idea of where I should start... I've done some research online for a while now and have been bouncing back and forth with specs, but I'd like to get some feedback from others who've already built PCs before.
I don't really know what the budget is per se because this PC is going to be a gift to me. But I would like to build the best gaming PC I can for a reasonable amount of money. So, I'll start by saying the budget is AT LEAST $1,000. (Could be more...)
From what I'm understanding... The CPU, GPU, PSU, and RAM all need to work well together. I was considering these specs: i7-4790K, GTX 980 (or 970), 600W (or more), and 8GB or 16GB for each of those areas respectively. However, I'd like some feedback on which specs would work best for the things I mentioned above (i.e. gaming, streaming, and editing.) I see myself playing a variety of games from things like GTA and The Sims to simple 2D games or MMORPGs. I don't know if that information helps, but I'm including it anyway.
I don't really know much about brands per se, so I am open to suggestions when it comes to that.
Thank you so much for reading and/or helping me out!
