Fitted new Motherboard - No Dispaly, no beeps, all fans and lights working.

Hi,

I've just got a new MSI AM88X motherboard that I fitted and moved the components from a HP motherboard to, everything powers up, GPU fans spin, case fans work, no error beeps, but there is nothing on the display?

It's running an A10 (with a H55 Cooler that's also been fitted at the same time)
8 GB of RAM (which I have tried reseating and using individually)
ASUS GTX560ti GPU
MSI AM88X Mobo
Corsair 500W PSU

Any thoughts on what it could be? All the parts worked fine before the mobo replacement.

Is your display connected to the onboard graphics or the GPU? if the GPU is connected it tends to disable onboard by default.

Did you reinstall Windows? While your system *may* boot after a motherboard swap, your best bet is to reinstall Windows after doing so.

I've tried the GPU and the onboard, with the GPU removed and in place.

I have no display... I can't reinstall anything because I can't see anything.

Unplug your hard drive and switch it on. See if you get a message on screen.

Nope nothing, still a dead screen, I don't even get a MSI Splash Logo or anything

looks like that board has a few video output ports available, if your monitor supports it and you have some of the proper cables around try those. Also do you get a post beep of any kind?

also depending on the version of A10 you have you may need to flash a new BIOS version to get it to work. here is the compatibility list as well as the downloads for the bios version necessary to get them to work.
