My mobo requires a BIOS update to boot from my OS (Windows 7 Home Premium). I downloaded the BIOS update and it came in an archive (.zip). Inside of the archive, there's a .ROM.. I'm wondering if I flash the archive or take out the .ROM and flash that. I know it's a noob question, but don't really have 2 chances to flash it because my mobo doesn't have the BIOS flashback feature.
Thanks in advance!

Solution
I suggest you Update BIOS with BIOSTAR BIOS Flasher
You can't use a .zip file to flash the BIOS. Extract the .zip file to the root of a small USB drive.

However the manufacturer says to do it....that's what you do. No deviations.

The reason I came here is because I couldn't find anything about it on the manufacturers site :/

Thank you
