How do I flash the BIOS on my AK31 v3 ? There's not a working floppy drive
on this machine. I've downloaded

AK31S2EK.BIN
AK31S2EK.EXE
AWDFLASH.EXE

The machine runs XP. Can I put these on c: and boot to command prompt and
run one of them? Which one?

How large a HD will the AK31S2EK BIOS support?

You got Nero CD burning software?

Fire up Nero and select CD-ROM (Boot). Under the Boot tab, enable expert
settings and set the boot emulation to Floppy Emulation, 1.44MB. Click
on New and select the files you've named above.

Burn the CD and restart the computer, enter BIOS, set to boot from CDROM
and boot it off the CDROM you've just burned.

Thanks.

I found a 3.5" floppy drive at the flea market for 25 cents. I got it
to work, and successfully installed AK31S2EK.

I can't imagine why one couldn't do a safe boot command prompt only
and run AWDFLASH AK31S2EK.BIN from c: but it's not the sort of thing
I wish to experiment with.

The reason I upgraded the BIOS is that I want to install a larger Hard
Drive. I'm looking at a 250 GB drive from Western Digital:

Will this thing plug right in and work now that I've flashed my AK31
to AK31S2EK ?
