Flash drive board help

I was going to build a diy case for my flash drive and when i opened it the whole board was covered with something, it looks like it was a cast mold. Is there a way to remove it for me to see the whole board?

I have used a heat gun on similar looking units, to slide the board out of the casing.
There is some type of glue between the cast and the board.
Be very careful, since soldering is very fragile.

Do you know what it is? Its not a casing. that black stuff is like poured into the board while in liquid form into a mold and dried to solidify. I don't think heating it would work since there's is literally no space in between,

When you heat it up it expands allowing you to slide the board.
