I am trying to put a 4.5G movie on a 32G flash drive. I keep getting a message that the file is too large for the drive. Am I doing something wrong?
Any help appreciated. T.I.A
The problem is the format of the drive -- must be FAT32. You need either exFAT or NTFS to support single files of that size.
Just reformat the drive and you will be fine. If you are using it on a TV check to insure that the USB on the TV supports the format type you choose, but AFAIK most support both.
NTFS is the current standard Microsoft format. exFAT (extended file allocation table) is an extension of the old FAT to overcome the restrictive file size limits of FAT32 -- like your movie.
