Flashing lines on screen?

So i recently built a gaming pc for myself. I am very new to computers. I mean i have played games on my buddies but my knowledge is very low when it comes to all the hardware. Anyways, when i boot up my pc, i have a bunch of flickering horizontal lines on the screen. Starts off with a LOT, then after maybe 5 to 10 minutes they are all gone and the screen is fine. I have thought it may be a ram issue, I have re seated the ram a few times, no result. I also re seated the video card once. What do you guys think?

lmk if you can see the lines? i might just be seeing them because its my monitor.

No lines. Looks like it's your monitor. Wiggle a few cables, check that the refresh rate is set properly and so on.

What monitor do you have? Have you overclocked the refresh rate? Do you have a different pc to test the monitor with?

I have a AOC 144hz, the refresh rate is set to 60hz as i have a hdmi cable plugged in. gong to switch to a dvi cable soon maybe that will help. I just find it weird that the lines are only on upon boot, then about ten minutes later the screen is fine. And my grandma has a mac, maybe i could use that for testing?

The other cable might help, and it is good to test with a different computer, as it may be just your computer artifacting. Good luck, let us know what happens.
