Flashing MSI Bios. What is the right way to do it right now?

I just installed my new MSI GTX 970 Gaming G4. Everything seems to be connected correctly. Card lights up. But when I start the computer I just have black screen with a courser in the left top corner. Nothing happens. My Motherboard is the MSI Z68A-GD55 (G3). After a little web research it looks like the problem is the bios version of the main board. Looks like I have to flash it to a BIOS V25.X version.

First question: what bios version should I flash to?
Second question: What is currently the correct way to flash the bios of a MSI motherboard. I am a little worried. And there are tons of different instructions how to flash the bios. Which one is the current, correct way to flash? also, what file format has to be the thumb drive I am using for the flashing?

Thanks

My system specs:

Window 10 Home Version 1511
Intel i5 2500k overclocked to 4.2GHz
16 GB DDR301333 PC3010666
Motherboard MSI Z68A-GD55 G3 (MS-7681) 4.0 BIOS V23.7 (N.70)
Old Graphics Card: Gigabyte GTX 540Ti 448 Cores (works perfectly)
New Graphics Card: MSI GTX 970 Gaming G4 (does not work)

You may try to use the DDU and the old GPU to uninstall the Nvidia GPU driver in safe mode first. After that switch the GPU and reinstall the new GPU driver. If that does not work that try the BIOS update.
DDU http://www.guru3d.com/files-details/display-driver-uninstaller-download.html

For the BIOS update, read the instruction carefully, try to understand the detail. How to http://service.msicomputer.com/msi_user/Support/images/TroubleSt/BIOS_FD.pdf

Recommend to use the M-flash, download the BIOS to USB, then reboot the pc by the USB with BIOS files. And don't recommend the live update, because if there is something wrong during the download and update, it will kill the MB, even you may try to do the recovery the BIOS.

Thanks. flashed it to the latest bios version. worked fine. gtx 970 works perfectly now. but can't manually overclock my 2500k anymore (which I had at 4.2GHz) by changing cpu voltage and multiplier in bios. But I still can use the overclock functionality (overclock button) of that specific motherboard. This also brings the 2500k up to 4.2 GHz. but it will not adjust the speed down in idle or low system usage. when I manually overclocked it was doing that. any idea how to manually overclock the 2500k with that bios?
