Hi, im a long time reader first time poster, and the time has come for me to purchase a 19" FLAT crt..
shopping around for such crt's, ive come to realise that most flat screen monitors are simply just a curved monitor with a flat glass panel over the top.....maybe im missing something very obvious, but it just doesnt seem right....

the only real flat monitors ive come across is the LG flatrons, sony's and philips 109p series.....can anyone please explain why some monitors are flat flat and others are just 'fake' flat?....and also could you please list some monitors that are actually flat flat other than the ones ive mentioned?...

thank you in advance

sorry i can't add any new ones coz i have a Philips 109p monitor which is truly flat.

my dad has a "cheap and crappy" brand monitor which is a curved monitor in a flat glass thing.
its crap.

any good brand such as

Philips
Sony
View Sonic
Mitsubishi etc...

will have true flat screens, they will use the dimatron/ trinatron system with 2 thin wires across the screen this is not really an issue.

honestly don't go cheap on the monitor, you get what you pay for basicly (although i don't think you get what you pay for with the over priced sony brand name)
