Hello, i have seen for a while that something glitches and flickers/blinks over my window's taskbar. It seems to me that the top part of the screen overlaps the taskbar whether it's the browser tabs or simply desktop top part, though it triggers more when i'm in a browser, no matter which, i'll attach a video from imgur.

My drivers are up to date, but recently i also had to deal with some constant blue screens, complete freezes. i've managed to go by bsodless for some days after i tweaked something from power settings and i thought this might be some sort of a clue. thank you in advance

regarding taskbar,
Try a clean boot and see if it changes anything - make sure to read instructions and make sure NOT to disable any microsoft services or windows won't load right - https://support.microsoft.com/en-au/help/929135/how-to-perform-a-clean-boot-in-windows

if clean boot fixes it, it shows its likely a startup program. You should, over a number of startups. restart the programs you stopped to isolate the one that is to blame.

As for BSOD -
Can you follow option one on the following link - here - and then do this step below: Small memory dumps - Have Windows Create a Small Memory Dump (Minidump) on BSOD - that creates a file in c windows/minidump after the next BSOD

  1. Open Windows File Explore
  2. Navigate to C:\Windows\Minidump
  3. Copy the mini-dump files out onto your Desktop
  4. Do not use Winzip, use the built in facility in Windows
  5. Select those files on your Desktop, right click them and choose 'Send to' - Compressed (zipped) folder
  6. Upload the zip file to the Cloud (OneDrive, DropBox . . . etc.)
  7. Then post a link here to the zip file, so we can take a look for you . . .

could there be a specific driver that you might be aware of, maybe the display driver? i'd rather reinstall from device manager than reinstalling the windows, but if the need may be, i'll do it, no problem.

Hello again with an update. It seems that the gpu driver from the integrated graphics card (AMD, the latest at the moment, think it was 21.6.1) was creating the glitch, i rolled back to a more stable version and now it doesn't glitch anymore. I'm grateful for your help, thank you. i'm really curios about those bsod files. I used to have more bsod, complete freezes or random restarts earlier this year, the weird thing is, it wasn't consistent, sometimes it stopped for weeks, sometimes more than once a day, also, as i stated, it varied the way it just failed (blue screen, complete freeze, random restarts) It seems to be a somewhat of a common problem for this specific laptop Legion 5-17ARH05H. I've went to advanced power settings and changed the maximum processor state to 99%. and since then, which is like a quite a few days, it only froze once

1st crash is gpu drivers, mentions directX in dump text
other 4 aren't as obvious although there is a fair amount of time covered, July to now

could have all been GPU drivers

do you WIFI or Ethernet cable?
are newer versions of these
May 26 2020rt640x64.sysRealtek NICDRV 8169 PCIe GBE Family Controller driver https://www.realtek.com/en/
windows 10 update program here under windows header - https://www.realtek.com/en/componen...0-1000m-gigabit-ethernet-pci-express-software
might be newer WiFi drivers - https://www.intel.com.au/content/www/au/en/support/intel-driver-support-assistant.html

OKay then, lets see what other drivers it might be

Can you download and run Driverview - http://www.nirsoft.net/utils/driverview.html

All it does is looks at drivers installed; it won't install any (this is intentional as 3rd party driver updaters often get it wrong)

When you run it, go into view tab and set it to hide all Microsoft drivers, will make list shorter.

Now its up to you, you can look through the drivers and try to find old drivers, or you can take a screenshot from (and including)Driver name to (and including)Creation date.

upload it to an image sharing website and show link here

All I would do is look at driver versions (or dates if you lucky to have any) to see what might have newer versions.
