Hello guys,

it's been almost almost a years that i'm having this problem, basically most of the time my mouse doesn't feel " 1-1" it's like too fast for me and i doesn't feel precise at all.

I was thinking maybe it's time for some upgrade, so i changed everything.

Gpu : From Radeon 5700xt to RTX 3080
Cpu : From ryzen 5 1600x to Ryzen 5 5600x
Motherboard : From x470 gaming Plus to X570S Edge Max Wifi
i've got a lots differents mouse : Logitech G Pro X Superlight ( main ) Razer DeathAdder V2 wireless + V3 Pro, Glorious Model O wireless
I tried 3 differents MousePad : Equate Mousepad ( main ) Artisan Zero, Zowie G-SR
Power supply : From RM 750 to RM1000x
I've got 2 monitor :
AW2518HF ( 240HZ) and a ViewSonic 60HZ.
i also switch from a CAT 5 ethernet cable to a CAT 7
I live in a pretty big city well developed in Europe.
I tried differents windows version and custom iso.
Bios updated

I just can't find a solution on every game i feel "late" and ( or ) not precise at all, i'm playing on 400 DPI and my mouse on my desktop feel too fast like i can't really control like i want it.

I'm thinking it's either related to my connection because we switch operator 6 - 7 months ago or my CPU.

If an expert see this post i wouldn't mind paying, i've been looking for a fix for months i usually love fixing small problem but this one is too crazy for me i can't fix it at all honestly.

What about mouse polling rate?

Mouse smoothing/acceleration in Windows?

Have you tried different USB controllers on your motherboard?

400 DPI is pretty low by today's gaming mice standards. I think I had a wireless mouse with 600 DPI all the way back in 2006 or so.

A cheap Logitech G305 has 12000 DPI, my old Steel Series has 5700 DPI.

I tried every usb port yeah, funny thing is that when i was younger i used to play with 1600 and that was fine but now i'm on 400 wondering why my mouse move so fast

It could be human factor i guess, but for the last 8 months my level on fps is just going down lol, i sleep good and only drink a coffee in the morning

i've got to say also i've been talking to a lots of people with the same problem, i'm also talking to a guy who used to be semi pro on cs go and he told me that this problem literally made him stop playing games

What if the issue is not hardware, software, or configuration?

Games. What games? Just for the record.

Consider obsession, addiction, 'burn out", reduced personal gratification from winning etc..

I am not (full disclosure) a medical professional of any sort.

That semi-pro guy may simply have hit the ceiling and realized that "enough was enough".

Maybe you are now at the same point. The symptoms may vary.

Can you go without playing any games for less than (arbitary) one hour per day or for 2 or 3 days between game playing sessions?

If not, then your words: " i've got to say ... etc...... " indicates to me that you are sensing the real problem.

Reconsider the bigger picture.

Just my thoughts on the matter.

Thanks for that beautiful message, i'm also thinking maybe i'm hitting my maximum potential on most games, yes i can easily not played for a few days without problem.

Burn out can also be the case, sometimes i can play like 4 - 5 hours and be bad af and sometimes i just play like 30 and when i realise something feel weird i just stopped instead of getting mad at myself or the games. Also it's not just like one or two games, even on my desktop with everything close my mouse feel super fast, is it because of the low input in general of my computer or is their a real problem

Looking back at the specs I do not see anything immediately astray other than that Cat 7 cable. Likely substandard and/or fake.

All you need is a good quality Cat 5e cable. All copper, round, AWG 22-24.

The cable, however, is likely not the problem per se.

I am seeing a bit of a trend with gaming - sometimes things are just not fun anymore. Or otherwise not as expected.

Happens all too often in many ways.

Play and enjoy when you feel like doing so. Stop when you don't.

If unable to do so then that is another matter.

However, that is not my area of expertise (full disclosure) and such discussions belong in other forums.

Also i've got an informations probably useless, my hdmi cable can go up to 12 bits on nvidia control panel but my DP 2.0 is stuck at 8

Check that you dont have mouse acceleration enabled nor in windows nor ingame.

About the network and video cable, you can totally ruleout the first one playing single player (unless its one of those online always game). The video, playing at lower resolution (since lower framerate certainly will feel weird). Coming back to the network cable, its unlikely that is the culprit. The ping (latency between servers) or even slow or misresponding modem/router are more likely.

Finally, i have observed with my rx6600xt that even some light games like genshin sometime stutter or get a small delay for a bit. Dunno why it happened and went away by itself, but maybe it can be similar for you but way less notorious since you have a faster system

I mean i know that my rtx 3080 is super hot most of the time but it's probably because i don't have enough ventilator inside, i might go to a friend house in 2 months so we will see

It's probably a normal thing but my mouse on windows with enhance precision on feel super slow, but when i turn it off it feel fast af, no mouse acceleration enable in Apex too my best
skill was always my aim but i'm losing it right now lol
