Folder/File view options?

I just switched from Win2k to XP Pro. Everything seems to be flying well
*except* one major glitch I can't figure out and one minor one.

(1) When I select a folder, open it, select a file, a group of files,
whatever, why can't I see at the bottom of the screen the size of selected
items? When I'm transferring files to a cd, I have no idea what size the
files are. I select one or 7,000 files, and there's no size info. Am I
missing something somewhere? I can't find anything in view options to
activate that.

(2) Why would they remove the simple click for deleting files from the trash
can? Can I put ot back?

BTW, I have read the haikus' that have ben written that SP2 is bringing the
end of the world, but, I swear to gawd, SP2 gave me a cold.

I downloaded it at 3:00 A.M., and by 10 A.M. I was sniffling, and in the
docs office the next day. Terrible.

Coincidence?

Me & Art Bell think not.

Appreciate any help on the folder thingy.

In the Explorer click View > Status Bar.

Which option? If you right-click the Bin on the Desktop you can empty
it fro the context menu.
