Footer at the end of document in Microsoft Word 2010?

Hello,

Is there a way I can have my shiny little footer at the end of the document, instead of the end of the page? For example, if I have a 3 page document, the footer will only appear at the end of Page #3. If I have a 5 page doc, it will only be at the end of Page #5 etc.

I've heard footnote/endnotes can do this, but I am not able to copy my footer text/images into a footnote.

This should seem like a rather routine task but I'm unable to fathom a solution.

Make a new section for the last page. Then you can change what's in the footer for that last page
