Does g-sync have the input lag that v-sync delivers us? I mean I only ask because isn't playing the game on borderless windowed mode defeat the purpose of turning v-sync on as it makes the game stuck on 60 fps [120 if you have a 120 hz panel]

What are the real benefits of having g-sync vs playing the game on windowed full screen?

Only if you run your game's max fps up to the refresh rate of the monitor. Example, if you are running a g-sync monitor at 144hz, to get zero input lag you must limit your framerate within the game to something lower than the refresh rate (cs:go use fps_max 130). When you hit the refresh rate limit you will get the same input lag as regular v-sync. But with the above trick you can have tear-free, stutter-free, and lag-free gameplay.

I see, that makes a lot of sense.

But won't that kind of cause the same as if the game was maxing out the 144 hz refresh rate though? I mean if you limit your fps to 130, that means you'll still be hitting the maximum fps, therefore still putting input lag in your game? I am not understanding this correctly hahaha.
