Hello,
i bought a prebuilt in 2018 for around 800 bucks and I'm starting to notice that newer games don't run all that well. I'm suspecting its a CPU issue because my GPU is 2000Mb and that is a lot. my CPU is a Pentium G4620 @ 3.70GHz.
For how long will I be able to still use it until its fully outdated? thanks

Game performance is more dependent on GPU performance. We need more complete info about your system to give you a recommendation.

It is outdated when it no longer meets your needs.

Based on the motherboard listed in the userbenchmark description, that motherboard does support much higher end CPUs 7700K for example. Could you find a used CPU at a reasonable price? Unknown.
Here is the webpage with the CPU support info -- https://www.msi.com/Motherboard/H110M-PRO-D/support#cpu
i also have another stick of ram but its only 8 gigabits and my friend said that is bad
You should purchase a matched set of memory. If 16GB has been enough, then get 2x8GB SET. That will improve your performance.
Your motherboard does support XMP so you could try enabling XMP in the BIOS to speed up the RAM you have.

That Gpu and Cpu are low-to mid end and super out of date. To play newer games smoothly, you need a better, more up to date pc. If you want to upgrade, you would need a motherboard, cpu and gpu, faster ram, and probably a new ssd and depending on the wattage on you psu, a better psu as well.

Your best bet it is to use that PC to learn how to use Linux or tinker.

If you know how build a new one build a new one with all new parts. Everything you have is outdated. If you don't know how buy a pre built

your G4620 cpu is just a little faster than a 2600k. However, your cpu is severely disadvantaged by having only 2 cores. Many games run better with a 4 core cpu as a minimum. Your cpu is outdated.

also that "2000mb" is not "a lot". I assume you have a GTX 1050 2 GB. Games today require 4 GB or more in vram. So your gpu is outdated as well.

if it's just casual gaming with low resource games like DOTA and CSGO, then your pc is still fine. However, for the newer and more graphically demanding games, then you might experience slowdown or lag even in medium settings.
