i want to format my laptop but my CD player of laptop is not working so what to do

You can make a Bootable USB Pendrive with some type of software that can format the hard drive... The software can be a Partition Manager or the Hiren's Boot USB. The GParted page has links with full instructions and the Hiren's page also has instructions to create a bootable USB pendrive with Hiren's Boot USB which has several applications that can format a hard drive.
