Formating write protected usb drive

help me in formatting my write protected flash drive

How do you know it is write protected? I have one that has a switch on the side... write protect on or off. I just use my fingernail to move the tiny switch.

it has no switch,i tried to format it many times,and it keeps on displaying the massage of write protection
