Formatted new HDD and weird stuff happened

So I expanded my other HDD and now there's just one big drive, is that normal? Is there a way to keep them as separate drives? And why do I have some "system reserved" drive? http://puu.sh/t23Fp/04adf732cf.png

System Reserved, just remove that drive letter.
In Disk Management, right click on that, "Change Drive letter", remove the X drive letter.

Yes, it IS better to have them individual drives.
Currently This PC is showing C and D
C is a 250GB SSD, D is a 2TB HDD, of which 1TB is used.

How did you 'merge' these?
Can you show a screencap of your Disk Management window?

I have 3 drives. One SSD, and two HDDs, when I formatted the new HDD it expanded it and made two drives one.

It wasn't letting me format it so I looked it up and people said to "expand"

It is 'better', only if you want it that way.

I'm trying to shrink it back right now, but Disk Manager just seems to be loading indefinitely...

It's not allowing me to shrink because it says that there isn't enough room... Also looked it up and "people" said you need to delete all data and all partitions to convert back... This is really frusterating.
