Hi, my Fortnite stays around 100 fps when I'm in-game playing while I have seen people with a GTX 1070 getting much more fps than i do. Maybe this is because of my CPU. Because Fortnite always uses 100% of my CPU whenever I play.

CPU: Intel Core i5 6400 @2.70GHz Skylake 14nm Technology
RAM: 16,0GB
Motherboard: LENOVO 364A

Solution
Fornite needs a single core at high frequency. Your cpu has a bit low operating frequency i5 6400 @2.70GHz, just 2.7 Ghz is a bit too low for a single core dependent game. Also 4 core 4 threads is starting to be a bottleneck. On short you need to change cpu, see if the motehrboard supports a 6700k or 7700k.

EDIT: Many will say that a K cpu on a locked motherboard is pointless but the k cpus even on locked motherboard has higher turbo speed compared to a non-k cpu.

Is there anything else open in the background using your cpu? You are maxing out your cpu so your fps is being limited but normally with that i5 you should be able to push for a bit more.

There is nothing in the background using my cpu. I have tried closing multiple programs before, but it doesn't make any difference. The only thing I have on ultra in video settings is View Distance.
