There are different structures in Fortnite Battle Royale and one of them is the platform/stairs. There are different types of structures that you can create from the stairs and all of them are useful in getting to height, getting cover or reaching difficult places.

This one is the basic structure that is created by default. All you need to do is to select stairs/platform and then place the structure on the surface to create it. This is the most commonly and widely used structure and if you don’t have the time to edit, you can place this one. It will give you the height benefit as well and players use this one to create the panic ramps.
Angled Stairs:
This is the structure where you create stairs at an angle. You can easily do this and will not take much of your time. To create the angled stairs all you need is first to create the basic stairs/ramp and then edit it. Once you have opened the edit menu by pressing “G”, then click and select the left side corner and drag it forward and then again click on the left corner and drag it to the right side and you are done. The angled stairs are useful in accessing the places at a height in some restricted locations.
Spiral Stairs:
This structure lets you create stairs in a spiral and is good for many situations. To create the spiral stairs, you need to open the edit menu once you have placed the stairs and then select the one corner, drag it forward, then move it to left or right side depending upon the corner you select and then move it again and take it to the end. This way, you will select all areas of the structure and will leave just the two in the middle. It lets you go upwards vertically and is not easy to spot by enemies from a far distance. These are very useful stairs for areas with obstacles as well as for bases.
Stairs with Side rail:
This is a narrow version of the stairs that has a side rail. It is very easy to create this type of stairs. You can create it by first editing the stairs and then select a corner from either the left or right side. Once you have selected the corner, drag it forward to another corner and that’s it. You will create the stairs with a side rail. This type of structure is good in accessing the tight areas and its side rails will give you protection against falling down accidentally.
