The area is a retail store complex that has a lot of buildings and some parking lots. It is not a big city but not so small as well. Retail Row is located at the middle right of the map and southwest of the Lonely Lodge.

Retail Row is a very popular area among the players on the Fortnite Battle Royale. This is the primary reason that you can expect a lot of company here. And if you are landing there, you will see that a lot of other players will be landing with you there as well. So make sure to look around for other players landing with your and try to steer clear of them and land at a place that has no visitors.
Land on Water Tower:
One of the good places to land in the Retail Row is the water tower. It is one of the signature sports of Retail Row and is located to the southeast side of the map. It can have a chest spawn and also some weapons. It will be best if you land there, open the chest, grab the weapons and pick off the people directly to the north of you who have landed on blacktop roofs. You can break down the portion of water tower below you and will land on the roof of a small shed or fence. You will find a gun and chest in the shed area as well.
Get a Shotgun:
The area Retail Row is not a big city so there is no use of sniping. And due to the proximity of the buildings, the area becomes somewhat congested. So it is best if you grab a shotgun and use it to take out other players. Because you will be most likely to engage in close combats and shotgun works best in such type of combats.
Check for Attics:
If you are wandering here and there in the Retail Row in search of chests, then the best thing that you can do is to search the attics of the houses. Most of the chests in the area will likely to spawn in the attics and you can get to them either by landing on rooftops and then digging in your way or simply going from inside the building. Either way, the chests in these attics have a good chance of containing better rarity weapons.
Seal off Stairwells:
If you are in a battle with an enemy and need to get a few seconds to either consume a potion or to reload your weapon, then what you can do is run inside the nearby building and after going up from the staircase, seal off the stairway with a floor. You can do this in most of the buildings in Retail Row and this will buy a few seconds to recover.
