Fortnite doesnt see all 4 cores!?!

We build a computer for my son to play fortnite. It seems a bit choppy so we looked at the recommended requirements. We meet or exceed all suggestions. The epic games troubleshooter says we are only using 2 cores but our CPU is an AMD 4 core at 3.5ghz.

After giving fortnite and epic games launcher high priority in task manager, we are able to get our FPS to hover between 18-90 fps. It spikes past 100 sometimes.

GPU is MSI RX560 4gb and we have 8gb of DDR3-1600

Is it possible that this is caused by your slow ram speed?

It would be strange, in my mind, that epic games software would fail to see 2 of 4 logical cores due to RAM speed, however...these days nothing is surprising.

I'm going to see if updating CPU drivers and chipset drivers from AMD solve this...
