Ok my daughter wants a PC to play fortnite on and so, of course, I am building her one. Cant have her use my gamer all the time, right? :)

Thinking i5-8400, H370m, DDR4 2400 16gb, 1050ti for 1080 resolution.

I already have a case, powersupply, m.2 drive, storage drive, keyboard, mouse, etc.

I don't play this game so for those of you that do? What do you think?

Solution
I'm actually going to be building something similar but a bit more potato for friends and family that want to game with me.

WildCard999 - I should have posted this. I would like onboard wifi. Now I do have a wifi card her old rig was using and I think it is fine, but wasn't sure if onboard wifi would be better.

The existing wifi card should work fine and that Asrock has the correct connection via PCI or USB, it will also support that M.2 drive. I would just make sure it has the newest drivers to make sure it's performing well.

If the i5-8400 is within budget though I would stick with that though as the turbo boost up to 4ghz and the extra two cores over the 8100 is nice to have for longevity.

I have to take a look at the existing card. If it can work with a graphics card I may go that way. Otherwise I may go with the one I posted. Yeah the i5-8400 is a nice chip, but also significantly more, almost double, what the i3-8100 costs.

OK. I actually changed the mobo. See the mobo I posted in two posts above. What you think about that one? It has built in wifi. If I cant reuse the wifi card this is the way I will go. Otherwise I will use the build included in your quote above.

I may make the same thing even for myself, my games don't require much and I rarely play VR so I put up my tower and VR for sale.
