So basically I will be getting myself for the first time Full HD monitor - currently I am sitting with 1440x900 resolution and I am having stable 400 fps in games like League of Legends or CSGO, 80 in games like TERA or any other known MMORPG. I couldn't afford monitor back when I was buying whole PC. The question I want to ask is - how many FPS will I lose? Cuz I heard people lost a lot.

Solution
you need to render almost double the pixels.

P.S. getting anything over 60 fps does not make a difference, as your screen can only show 60 fps

Alsoo - lets say I get 144Hz monitor - do I need stable 144 fps all the time to actually see the difference? Cuz I can't see myself getting these 144 in games like TERA or any similiar title.

Not quite double the pixels, 60% more but it won't be 60% fps loss since there are more factors. Close enough for a guesstimate purpose though.

Anything above 60 fps is an improvement since the monitor can actually show the extra fps. It depends on the person when you will notice the difference but maybe around 80fps or so. Even on a 60hz monitor, more fps is better input lag. It's a negligible amount imo but for some people, they want to swear on it.
