Hey guys, thanks for reading. First off ill just drop comp specs so we can get that out of the way
MSI gaming 7
i7 4790k base clock
250gb ssd operating drive
1tb storage
MSI gtx 980 gaming base clock
h100i v2 cpu cooler
Game at 1080p
Normally i'm able to run at 60fps easily on ultra settings but as of late i started getting fps drops(dropping to 20ish) with frame stutter. it goes back up, but regardless of what i do with my settings in game it always drops
most commonly noticed in gta V i drop to 20ish for like 5-10 seconds then go back up. this is on and off so kind of tolerable but the thought of it is really annoying
in Arma 3 it gets super noticeable and i can drop down to 9 fps for a long period of time.
I thought it may have been a heat issue, so i bought a new cpu cooler. cpu is nice and cool, but still have fps dips.
