Hi, I've been getting Fps Drop on games recently and I have no clue why...

Specs:
CPU: Amd 8350 with Hyper 212 evo cooler
Gpu: Gigabyte G1 gaming 980ti
Motherboard: Gigabyte 970a
HDD: 7200rpm 1Tb
RAM: 8GB adata and 8GB hyper x. 16GB in Total.
PSU: 750 Watt Bronze rated power supply

The weird thing is that even if I Turn settings down from Very high (On Gta V) to Normal I still get fps drop... Have no clue why..... I'm pretty sure my specs should be able to run it fine...

It's in pretty much every game I play now and is really annoying me...

Thanks for your help... (??_?)(??_?)(??_?)(??_?)(??_?)

Solution
The DS3P is decent, but its power phases are a bit weak. It should be fine in normal usage but can overheat during intense work, like gaming. Running with the case open may help, and if it does it is a sign that this is the problem. You could also zip tie, temporarily, a case fan to blow directly on the VRMs (the components between the socket and the rear I/O shield) and this should help a lot (but not entirely cure things). This does not mean that there is no other problem, but once this is dealt with, we can continue to look.

On Speccy It says the Motherboard is a: 970a-DS3P
