FPS drop at high CPU usage.

My build:
AMD FX6300 OC'd at 4.2ghz
Radeon 580 Aorus
Asrock 970M pro3
16 gigs (2x8) Ares RAM
NZXT Kraken X61

Every 10 or so seconds my cpu jumps to about 98% usage and my games drop from 100+ frames down to 20- for about 2 seconds, before increasing back to normal. My temps are fine. Using Windows 10

Have you unparked CPU's? ParkControl Free does a good job.

They do drop for a split second.

I don't konw what unparking your cpu is.

If you are seeing drops in cpu speed my guess is your motherboard is struggling with your overclock. That motherboard has a low end 4+1 power phase, it may be struggling.

What would you recommend I do? Or what should I go down to, I'm sitting at about 4.4 ghz

I would put it to stock settings. I know average fps will take a hit but try it and see if the random drops to 20 stop. If it does fix it you can add an OC a little at a time until the problem starts again.

Dumbed the OC down to about 3.8 mhz on the CPU. No jitters and constantly 120+ frames, Thanks!
