Hey guys,

I have had my computer for about 2 years now and recently i have started getting low FPS in all games that i play, from League of Legends to Skyrim. In LoL for example i used to be able to get at least a steady 60fps regardless of what was happening on screen but now i am getting what i can only explain as lag spikes, dropping the fps to 10 or lower for a period before returning to normal for a short while.
I have tried three different PSU's with no luck. I have replaced the thermal paste in my computer to ensure it is not a temperature problem as well as overclocking the system to see if i would get any performance boost. I run anti-virus software on a regular basis also so i am pretty sure it isn't that.
I don't have any more ideas so any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thank You In Advance,
Alex

Solution
If you are sure your cpu is the fx8150, then the problem is the combination of cpu and asrock 970 MB, because the Mb has lower power phase count (4+1), and it has problem to power the fx8150 in over time ( degeneration in 2 yrs ) and cause the MB overheat, then cause the fps drops during the games.
Also you can see the fx8150 is not in the cpu support list. http://www.asrock.com/mb/AMD/970%20Extreme3/?cat=CPU

You need get the better MB, I mean the MB has more power phase count, like MSI 970 Gaming AM3+, GA-970A-UD3P AM3+, or ASUS M5A97 AM3+
Before you buy the new MB, you can try to disable one, two cores, or even 3 cores in the BIOS, and try run the games to see the games run fine or not. If the games run fine after you disable the...
