Fps drops in game (overwatch)

Hey, I was wondering if anyone could help me with the problem of fps drops I've been having in overwatch. This has been happening since I started OW and I'm not sure what is wrong with it, my gpu and cpu temps are fine. I'm on all settings low in game with 100% render scale so I should be at least able to hold 153 fps (which is what it is capped at) however, I keep getting random fps drops every 2-3 seconds down to around 110 fps then back up to 153. I should also mention that this is without ANYTHING else running in the background except for discord, if I open spotify or youtube etc the fps drops are a lot more often and a lot harsher (drops to 90 fps).

My build is:
gpu - AMD MSI Radeon RX 480 8gb
cpu - i5 Intel Core i5-7600 3.5 GHz QuadCore 6 Mb Cache
ram - hyperx fury DDR4 8gb 2400 MHz

I know that my build isn't bad as I have a friend who can maintain 250+ fps easily with a worse cpu and gpu than me so I'm unsure what it is.

Internet connection instability will cause this sort of behavior and as it is 110FPS is not low enough to be much of a problem and wont even be noticeable on a 60Hz monitor unless there is an associated stutter which leads back to me thinking its a connection issue

Your fps look only slightly under this benchmark.

It wouldn't be a problem if it wasn't constantly dropping, I have a 144 hz monitor so I notice it a lot. :/
