Fps drops in games

I dont know what to do anymore with my gaming pc
the fps drops very much times while i am playing games on it
i tried malwarebytes and nothing worked for me
can anyone help me with my problem??
my specs are
amd atlhon x4 860k
sapphire radeon r9 280
8gb kingston ram
corsair tx 550w psu
1tb wd green
msi a88xm gaming motherboard
120 gb kingston ssd

i used to have a gtx 750 and i had the same problem

do you have the cpu overclocked and have you tried to set it back to stock to see if it still stutters?

what do in game tests say about framerates? are they the same or are they severly bogged down
