[SOLVED] fps drops with new ram

Hello so yesterday my friend gave me his gskill ripjaws 16gb ram and i tried it out i had hyperx fury 8 gb ram and before i tried my friends ram i could play watch dogs 2 with 50-60 fps but after i tried my friends ram i only get 40-50 fps at whatever settings i play i reinstalled the game but nothing pls help me

what are the specs of the old and new ram? Is the new ram running at its recommended speeds and timings?

no not yet and my old ram is 2 4gb hyper x fury ddr4 at 2133mhz and the new one is 2 8gb gskill ripjaws ddr4 at 3200mhz

Try Clearing CMOS than try and set the XMP profiles again and see if that fixes the problem. Could be a bad set of ram. Also make sure if you havent already that you have your xmp settings to 3200mhz. sometimes with new ram they will default back to slower speeds.
