With windows 7 when you change the visual effect settings to adjust for best performance it also changed the GUI to look like win 98 and it gave me 15-20 fps increase in every game. Now i do this with windows 10 and it doesn't change the GUI to win98 and i have 20 fps less in every game now. Is there any way to change it? If not i think i will have to install win7 again... But i really like win10 because it's faster on other things except gaming.

Unless you're running your game in windowed mode...you shouldn't be rendering advanced/transparent Windows effects while playing. IMO, disabling all the fancy UI stuff helps for machines that even have trouble with the desktop effects.

When I'm home, I'll try disabling the W10 fancy themes (basic, non transparent) and will see if my benchmarks change.

It shouldn't really matter with what i'm asking. Core 2 duo e6750, Radeon HD 5770 1gb sapphire edition, 4gb ram, 500gb hdd, 500w psu
