FPS Locked to 40!

My FPS is locked to 40 on Fortnite and Fifa 18, V-Sync is turned off from game settings and Nvidia control panel and I don't know what's causing this. FPS on Fifa 18 has been locked ever since the second time I played it and Fortnite's FPS locked today.
I've tried setting stuff up in Nvidia's Control Panel and no results, any tips?

What I think might be causing it is the Intel GPU so what do you guys think

You can set frames cap in afterburner.

I don't want it to be locked, I'm saying that the 40 FPS I get (which i'm trying to unlock) isn't playable

I supposed, you have a cap set, and you want to switch it off. If you do not use afterburner, check the software you installed, or at least list them so others can give you better council.

Thanks for the help zoltan.boese but I fixed it already, a friend of mine asked if I had 2 monitors and if I do that could be the reason for it. I just remembered watching a movie on my TV with a HDMI cable and I still had the setting left on "Duplicate these displays" and changing it to "show only on 2" fixed it.
