FPS Loss When After Upload

Okay really hoping someone can help me out here. I got a new phone, it is a Moto G 2nd generation. It has a 8mp rear camera capable of 720p at 30fps. I recorded a video, and uploaded it to my YouTube channel through the phones app. Rather seamless.

Problem is, once uploaded, I check the "stats for nerds" and it is showing 15fps. Tried it again, and got a 29fps. I have been trying different methods and getting huge variances in fps.

Any ideas. Should I transfer the video to my pc and upload from there? I don't want to resort to that as it is more time consuming. One time I went to upload doing the same methods, and it asked me if I wanted HD or not. Same exact methods everytime, but that prompt will no longer show up. ANd that is the only time I got the 30fps was when it prompted me and asked.

My method is simple, record vid in stock camera. It only has one option for video, 720p 30fps. Than I click the share to YouTube. It immediately starts the upload. And that is it, very simple.

I really hope someone can help me out here, or give me another method that is sure to work.

Thanks!

I am certain the phones camera is more than capable. There are lots of videos on YouTube of others showing test footage from this exact phone. And it looks smooth as glass on my phone before uploading. Somewhere among the upload is where the degradation is happening. I don't really understand why. But if you search Moto G 2nd gen video test footage on YouTube, they all look amazing.

I think uploading from my phone to YouTube is doing some kind of default option and going for speed instead of quality. And there isn't any options for uploading quality, and it seems to be a really fast upload / processing doing directly from my phone. Where as my pc takes a bit longer, but always looks much better end result.

There has to be a simple answer for this. It makes no sense to loss so much fps upon upload.

Here is a sample. This is only running at 20fps, and looks a bit choppy to me. But when I watch the exact video on my phone, it is butter smooth. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fshkdFKuQ0Q
