Question fps problem

i have a acer 27in vg270 monitor (144/165hz) and im trying to see how i can get 120+ fps on my game runescape in the game setting i have 140 foreground and 120 background fps
and on the task manager it only said im only getting 105 fps in the game. i currently have the monitor setting on graphic.
just in case if you guys ask i have gforce 2060 super.

Is your monitor 1080p or 1440p?

What’s the full pc spec. It’s not only the gpu that’s important when aiming for high fps.

Try running userbenchmark and link the results. Sometimes it can help highlight the problem.

2x8 speed atm is 2133mhz
UserBenchmarks: Game 77%, Desk 75%, Work 68%
CPU: AMD Ryzen 5 3600 - 76.9%
GPU: Nvidia RTX 2060S (Super) - 83%
SSD: Samsung 860 QVO 1TB - 103.9%

RAM at 2133mhz is terribly slow, you really want 3000-3600 for Ryzen 3000 series. This can have a significant impact on gaming performance.

I could be wrong but i heard Ryzen needs fast memory to show it's true performance? as Sizzling mentions above

right now i just turn on xmp and my fps just went up 20 fps (avg 140 fps) using the window key +g while on runescape 3 but the in game fps is at 165.
