FPS question for battlefiel 4

I was just wondering if it was normal for me to get about 40fps on a lot of maps in bf4 on a ASUS GTX 770 with an fx 8320

Sounds about right for Ultra. I get little more than that on Ultra with a 670 Amp! and an overclocked FX835 @ 1080p.

But i first started off well above 60 fps, but also shouldnt i be getting somewhat more fps then you because my card is pretty much an overclocked 680

Multiplayer tends to be more reliant on CPU than GPU.
You might try overclocking the CPU to the FX8350 speeds and see if that helps.

Bare in mind the risks of Overclocking first.

Make sure you close any and all background applications, and use a program like MSI Afterburner and confirm your GPU isn't reaching 81C and throttling due to temperatures.

Step 1.
Make sure you have an aftermarket CPU cooler or risk melting the CPU.

Step 2.
Go into the BIOS, change only the Multiplier. You can move it up in increments of 0.5. Move it up by 1.

Step 3.
Run a program called Prime 95 and see if you crash or get errors, or the temperatures are over 60. You will need the software for the motherboard to properly monitor temperatures.

If the temperature is too hot, lower the overclock.
If you get errors, either increase the voltage a tiny bit (just press + in the BIOS) or lower the overclock
If it runs fine and doesn't get hot, go back into the BIOS and bump up the multiplier by 1 or 0.5

Repeat until it's stable and won't get any faster below 60.

no it's not normal to have 40fps with that setup, i myself own a FX-8320 and even at stock clock the games scale very well on 8 core between 20% and 70% on each cores and barely use 60% of the overall CPU to fill my GPU (GTX 780 oc)...defenetly not a CPU bottleneck dont overclock that you're loosing your time...many users have reported low FPS and we cant yet figure why this is happening, we believe its software related (battlefield problem) you should be getting 60 fps average with lows around at least 50fps on heavy battle and highs in the 80's on Ultra preset with a 770 and FX-8320 stock

It should be 60FPS on Auto.

Or on Auto?
It should be 60FPS on Auto.

more like 50 to 70fps depending on whats happening in the game (how much players and what map is playing)on ultra settings
