Given that the mini c is a matx case, and barely any smaller than the regular define C case, would it go ok getting an itx x570? I sure don't want a stupid chipset fan running, so I am kind of worried about itx, but isn't the issue with itx builds simply the small cases, and this one being bigger would lessen the issues normally associated with an itx mobo choice?

There are other cases withing Fractal's catalog. Are you set on the Define Mini C? I wouldn't go for an itx X570 build given how it's just released. Better go for the ATX builds due tot he chipset heatsink.

On another note, ASRock have showcased an matx version with the X570 chipset and more here.
I don't trust really any manufacturers, but I definitely don't want to get asrock because of seeing in multiple generations in a row apparently their mobos had crackling noises in audio and also they're thought of as more of a budget brand and I already sold one off unopened due to hesitating on the brand.

As for the rest, though, I couldn't find temp comparisons from the SAME site, but look how close they are on the C line matx vs. atx cases, from 2 different sites' reviews:

define c - 55 cpu temp, 57 gpu temp
mini c - 58 cpu temp, 56 gpu temp

Sure it's different sites and different parts, but it gets a good idea that "probably" it's not going to be much different in temps.

Look at the dimensions of the cases. The mini is 2 inches shorter and 1 pound lighter and that's IT. Almost the exact same case. So wouldn't it be unlikely to have any more heat issues, anyway? In fact, since the itx mobo would have less space for stuff, theoretically the max temp would be less on the matx case since the case is almost the same size, but with less potential components in it.

1. the reason I would "like" to get the mini c is because it seems to be the quietest compact case that is also good enough in temps and looks.

2. the reason i'd "like" to get an itx mobo is because the gigabyte x570 I Pro has everything I want in features for barely over $200. I'd "rather" have a matx board, but there's next to nothing in chocies for itx OR matx boards.

I don't really trust gigabyte either, but people claim they did a big step up in quality in BIOS and mobo quality this time... Also considering the x570 elite atx mobo, msi pro carbon x570, asus x570 tuf.

Note: If I do NOT do a compact build, I'd get the regular define c case or maybe an r6, but r6 is so big and heavy, doubt it.
