Frame drops on my pc

Dear readers,

I am having a problem for a long time already. I often get frame drops when I have a game running. Not only in the game but even my browser begins to work very slowly. This only happens in intensive games like dying light. Could it be the RAM? It is lower than the advised specs on dying light and other games but it is higher than the minimum specs required.



My specs are as following:
Intel i7 2600 @ 3.4ghz
6gb ram (1x 2gb 1x 4gb) (don't know the mhz)
Msi twin frozr gtx 660
500watt be quiet



I guess that's all the info needed to answer my question.

It could be your Ram. Ive seen it happenning before when there were two completely different sticks. Go into bios and have a look there if all of them are, and work at the same frequencies.
