Frame rate dips when gaming

Hi there I recently got a new PC and I installed BF1 and Overwatch now on BF1 I freeze every 5 minutes or so and the cpu usage spikes to 100% and it freezes for around 5 seconds. On Overwatch I will be played with the GPs capped at 70 but it will drop into the low 50's for a few seconds. Now my question is: is there something I can do to fix or is this to be expected when gaming?

Gtx 1060 6gb
I5 6600
16gb ddr4 2800
B150 pro gaming motherboard
Windows 7

Forgot to mention the in game settings:

BF1: Full Ultra, 1080p, v-sync off, fps limit 60, gpu restriction on( I have tried turning this off and it didn't help).

Overwatch: Full Epic quality, vsync off, fps limit 70.

it sounds like the cpu is running something heavy on the background, how is the gpu usage?

when the situation ha´´ens, what oher apps do you see runing?

Can you please tell the cpu and gpu temps. Also what is your gpu usage while gaming ? Check for processes that might be running in the background.

I'm not running anything in the backgrounds and I'm not sure about GPU or cpu usage but I am using the intel stock cooler could this be the problem?

I don't think so. Download and use Msi Afterburner to check the temps and usage while you are gaming. You can even create a log file using the software. Download malware bytes and scan your Pc.

if you don't like mis afterburner, cpu-z can give you readings too

the stock cooler is just noisy under load, when the cpu reaches 50 or 60°c or more

After playing BF1 for 15 minutes it froze 4 times and each time the CPU usage would go to 100%. The GPU temperature at the end was 66°c with an average of 60-65°c and the usage was around 55%, the CPU temperature was 64°c and averaged 58-64°c with a CPU usage of 80-95%. Sometimes the usage would spike to 100% but not freeze.

Download malware bytes and scan the Pc. Did you build the Pc by your own hands or someone has built it for you ?

I built the pc myself at I did so 9 days ago so there is no unwanted software

Download intel processor diagnostic tool and run it for 1 hour and then check the results.
