Frame rate drop after upgrading

I just upgraded to an i7-3770 and I have an R9-380.... I use to run games with a solid 90 fps but now it's down to 20 to 30 fps. I know that my graphics card is plugged in to the monitors and the drivers are installed.... I need help

Won't that reset the memory on my motherboard... will I have to reinstall drivers for my motherboard

no...its just to refresh the motherboard and bios settings on ur pc...ur drivers are located inside system32 folder on ur hdd...

Soo.... I reset cmos and reattached my card... after I turned on my computer the screen started to tear and then after that I restarted my computer and the screens are in power save mode now

After that I shut it off then turned it back on.... and it would show the loading screen for Windows for like 10 seconds and then go back to power save mode

I does say the gpu is at 300 MHz should that be higher

shd be above 1000...i think something around 1010mhz is the official clock speed...

lets see if this helps...

> download display driver uninstaller from guru3d...run it and uninstall all current drivers...
> power off the system and reset the cmos battery...
> clean the card properly for dust accumulation...
> power on the system and update the bios to the latest one, but before that, keep a copy of the older bios, in case the new one doesnt work...(optional)
> now go to the nvidia/amd website and download the latest drivers for the card and install them...
> along with that u should update ur...vcredist, c++ redistributable, directx, and .net framework...

after that try to accelerate the base clock through msi afterburner or similar applications...
if that fails also, then i guess u must consider rma...cud be a faulty unit there...

well...if its a faulty unit, no troubleshooting can correct it...try it in some other pc and see whether the issue follows the device...
